The Humble ISD Police Department Emergency Response Team has added a new member to the team;  The new Emergency Response/Mobile Command vehicle. This vehicle, which was originally owned by Humble ISD Child Nutrition, was donated to the Humble ISD Police Department Emergency Response Team.  The vehicle sat for several months before ERT Members Sgt. J. Hall and Investigator S. Sharp approached the director of Child Nutrition, Ms. Robin Young, and asked what they intended to do with the vehicle.  Ms. Young immediately understood how important a Mobile Command Vehicle would be for the district and did not hesitate to get the transfer started.

During the 2009 summer months, members of the Emergency Response Team worked diligently on the inside and the outside of this truck to turn it into what it is today.

The multipurpose Emergency Response Team/Mobile Command Vehicle will be utilized for several things, ie: manmade or natural disasters, Emergency Response Team personnel and equipment transport, crisis response, mutual aid, remote communications from anywhere in the district and beyond and wherever else this vehicle can be used to help preserve the safety of the district.  It's capabilities are too numerous to list here.
