
Senior Officer Shannon Sharp is honored by the Humble ISD Police
Department as Officer of the Year:
The Humble ISD
Police Department is proud to announce that
Senior Police Officer Shannon Sharp has been awarded this honor at
the Humble ISD Police Department annual Christmas party at the Humble Civic Center on
December 19th, 2008.
Nominations
for Officer of the Year are submitted by sworn and civilian
personnel of the Humble ISD Police Department. These
nominations are tabulated and the announcement is made every year
at the Christmas party.
Sr. Officer Sharp is currently over the Humble ISD Police
Department's Support
Services Division. Sr. Officer Sharp
has worked tirelessly to build the Support Services
Division from the ground up.
Senior Officer Sharp began his law enforcement
career November 16th, 1985, with the Kemah, Texas Police
Department. He was right out of high school. Mr. Sharp went
on from Kemah to work with the Seabrook, Texas Police Department,
and finally the Harris County Sheriff's Department, Houston,
Texas, where he served over 10 years as Deputy Sheriff until
leaving for the private sector in 2002. Sr. Officer Sharp
returned to law enforcement in 2006 when he joined the Humble ISD
Police Department where he currently holds the rank of Senior
Officer. Sr. Officer Sharp is also a certified Police Instructor,
Field Training Officer and a member of the Humble ISD Emergency
Response Team.
