
Mario Saldivar – Community Services Division Corporal
Mario Saldivar began his career in 1991 with
Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office where he was a
D.A.R.E. Officer. Mario Saldivar left in 2001 to come to Humble
ISD Police Department. Officer Saldivar became a corporal in
charge of community services in 2003. In 2004, Corporal Saldivar
and Hollie Hanks began the L.E.T.S. Program.
Currently, Mario Saldivar teaches L.E.T.S.,
G.R.E.A.T. (including summer camps), R.A.D. to students and staff,
kids R.A.D., after school martial Arts program, 9.1.1., and
Officer Friendly.
Erica Journet – Community Services
Division Officer
Erica Journet graduated from the University
of Houston Downtown Police Academy in 2004. In April, 2005, she
began working for the Humble ISD Police Department. Officer
Journet’s lifelong dream was to take a proactive approach in law
enforcement for the safety of our youth.

Officer Journet currently teaches an
anti-child abduction program, as well as L.E.T.S. Program for
elementary students throughout the Humble Independent School
District. Officer Journet is proud to be a part of establishing
the L.E.T.S. Program in Humble ISD.
This year Humble Elementary was
excited to pilot a new Martial Arts
Character
Development after school program. The school chose 40 students
from among almost 200 third, fourth and fifth graders who wished
to participate in the program. These students were taught martial
arts lessons twice a week after school for eight weeks.
Corporal Saldivar
generously volunteered his time and talent to train the young
students. Officer Saldivar is also a black belt with over twenty
years of martial arts teaching experience. Developing strong
personal character is a huge part of martial arts training.
